Heat Seeks Out Cold!

Heat will travel from a warmer place in your home to a cooler place.  In cold weather, it flows from heated rooms to an unheated attic or garage.  It also seeks to move outside of your home.  In hot weather, heat flows from outside your home to the interior.  To maintain comfort, the heat lost in the winter months must be replaced by your heating system while the heat gained in the summer months must be removed by your air conditioner.  Insulation that you may have resists the flow of heat, preventing unwanted circulation.  Thus, in a well inuslated house rooms stay warmer in winter, cooler in summer, and expend your home expends less energy.
